EMPTY HOUSE (공가)

 

 

 

On the way back home.
I saw some doggie grasses (e.g. foxtails in English) in between the curb stones of a road.
They must have grown toward the sky to catch the sunlights, but they bent slightly to the brick wall.
They looked like doggies as if they had run away from the hands of a dog-thief.
Perhaps that may be because of the winds blown in and out of season.
They will be remembered since I kept them in a cut of my photo even if they may go away without any traces some day.

 

In the post box of the empty house.
There are memos from friends and fallen leaves together.
They told me that there were some knockings on the window without lights for a long time.
They are very warm greetings.
Just then, we started to have snow and the world was filled only with the sounds of melting snow.
I too looked into the window.
'Is the guy, I,  inside...?'

 

 

 

 

집으로 돌아오는 길.

보도 경계석 틈바구니 강아지풀을 보았다.

분명 태양을 보고 하늘을 향해 자랐을 터인데, 구부정하게 벽돌담을 바라보고 있다.

마치, 개 도둑놈 손아귀에서 도망쳐 나온 강아지처럼 말이다.

아마도 시도 때도 없이 불어댄 바람 때문이었으리라.

한 컷 사진으로 남겨두었으니, 언젠가 흔적도 없이 사라지져도 기억되겠거니 싶다.

 

공가의 우체통.

친구들의 메모가 낙옆과 함께 들어있다.

한참 동안 불이 켜지지 않았던 창문을 노크해 보고 돌아간 흔적들이다.

참 따뜻한 안부의 글이다.

마침 눈이 내리고 세상은 눈 녹는 소리만 가득하다.

나도 창문 속을 들여다 본다.

'나란 녀석이 안에 있나...?'
