언젠가 라디오에서 들은 퀴즈입니다.

This quiz is the one I heard from a radio one day.

이 퀴즈의 답은 두개입니다. 잘 읽어 보시고 여러분도 한 번 맞춰 보시기 바랍니다.

The number of the answer is two to this quiz. Read carefully and get the target, please.

한 번에 맞추시면 아이큐가 160 이상이라는 것, 참고적으로 말씀드립니다. ^^

For your reference, your IQ is higher than 160 when you come to the answer at once.

 

영희와 철수네는 약 10km 떨어진 동네에 살고 있습니다.

Tom and Jane live in the villages 10km away each other.  

이 둘 청춘남녀간은 서로 사랑하지만 마치 '로미오와 줄리엣'처럼 양가가 오랜 앙숙이기 때문에 드러내어 만날 수가 없었습니다.

These youngsters love each other but they are not allowed to meet each other in a open place because both of the families have been at enmity like 'Romeo and Juliet'. 

그래서, 주로 어두운 밤이나, 양가 부모가 타지로 외출한 사이에 남에 눈에 들키지 않도록 만나야했습니다.

Thus, they would meet in a night or on a day when their parents go out avoiding the other's eyes.

영희네 부모는 매월 3의 배수가 되는 날 외출을 나가시고, 철수네 부모는 매월 4의 배수가 되는 날 외출을 나가십니다.

Jane's parents go out on the multiple days of 3, and Tom's on those of 4.

그리고, 이들 동네 간에 다니는 버스가 있는데, 매월 6의 배수가 되는 날은 매시 15분 간격으로 다니고, 그렇지 않은 날은 20분 간격으로 다닙니다. 운행 속도는 시골길이라서 시속 30km를 반드시 지킵니다.

And they have the bus between their villages. The interval of the bus is 15 minutes on the multiple days of 6 of the months. Otherwise it is 20 minutes. The buses are running at 30 km per hour because they are on country roads.

그런데, 양가 부모는 가을이 오면 산에서 밤을 수확해서 시장에 내어 파는데, 바로 아까 말씀드린 외출날 시장에 나가 밤을 팝니다.

However, both parents sell their chestnuts harvested in their valleys on the very days of their going out.

올해 밤 수확량은 영희네와 철수네 모두 1,000개씩을 수확했고, 올해 10월 내에 모두 시장에 팔려고 합니다.

This year, both families of Tom and Jane harvested 1,000 chestnuts respectively and intend to sell all of them in the market place.

그러나, 가끔씩 썩은 밤도 있기에 마을 버스를 타고 가다가 그 썩은 밤을  추려내어 차창 밖으로 버립니다.

However, there are some chestnuts gone bad so they throw them out of the bus window on their ways to the market place.

자, 10월의 양가 부모가 모두 외출하게 되는 첫 번째 날, 영희네는 매 10분 마다 썩은 밤 1개씩을 골라 버렸고 철수네는 매 15분 마다 썩은 밤 2개씩을 골라 버렸습니다.

Well, on the first day that both parents go out at the same time, Jane's parents throw one bad chestnuts every 10 minutes and Tom's parents two chestnuts every 15 minutes.

영희네집으로 부터 시장까지는 20km, 철수네 집으로 부터는 30km입니다.

The distance from Jane's home to the market is 20 km and that from Tom's home 30 km.

자, 그러면 영희네와 철수네가 동시에 시장에 도착했다면 영희네와 철수네가 시장에 내어 팔은 밤의 갯수는 얼마일까요?

Well, How many chestnuts do both parents sell the chestnuts in the market provided that they arrive at the market at the same time?

이 퀴즈를 듣고, 생각나는 것이 있었습니다.

I was thinking when I heard this quiz:

'인생도 이미 답이 있는데, 쓸대없이 복잡하게 생각하고 사는 것은 아닌가?'하고 말입니다.

'We've already had the answer to our lives but I've just made my life complicated vigorously?'
