TWO SOFAS (소파 두개)

 

 

소파 두개

 

 

이층 거실 덩그런 공간에

혼자 지껄이는 테레비가 있고

그 앞에 빈 소파 두 개가 앉아있다.

 

새벽 세 시, 나는

화장실 거울 속에 살고 있는

그 녀석이 입에 허연 치약을 흘리며

칫솔질 하는 모습을 따라하고 있다.

 

세면도 끝나고

얼굴에 수건질도 끝나고

거울 속 그 녀석도 나를 쳐다본다.

 

넋을 놓고 테레비에 정신 팔린

소파 두 개 중 오른 쪽 소파에

하루의 피곤함을 더해 내 체중을 실어 올릴 때

누군가도 왼쪽 소파에 와 앉는 기척이다.

 

천근 같은 눈꺼풀에 지쳐

누굴까하는 궁금증은

사르르 무너져 내린다.

 

이내, 아까 거울 속에 있던 그 녀석이

내가 잠든 것을 이리저리 알아보곤

심심해 죽겠는지

현관문을 빼꼼히 열고 몰래 마실 나간다.

 

 

 

TWO SOFAS

 

 

In the empty space of the living room on the second floor

There is a TV gabbling alone

Beside that, two sofas have seats.

 

3 o'clock at dawn, I

Am mimicking the guy inside the toilet mirror

Who is brushing his teeth

Bubbling white from his mouth

 

Washing face is finished

Toweling off is also finished

The guy in the mirror keeps staring at me

 

When I put my weight

With exhaustion of the day on the right one

Of the two sofas haunted by the TV

It was felt that somebody else had a seat on the left one

 

My eye lids feel heavier than 1,000 pounds

My curiosity on who had a seat by me

Is being scaled off

 

In time, the guy in the mirror

Checks if I fell asleep or not

But it turns out to be bored to death and

Goes out opening the entrance door secretly
