APPLES (사과)

 

 

 

It was said that many apples were dropped down while the strong typhoons were passing. Now a few apples from a ravine in Chongsong are laid on my desk.

 

The apples of this year look more lovable than those of the past. Perhaps do I feel compassion with their resolute attitutes that they keep the color and the taste as they are even though they were suffered terribly from such trembling typhoons? Some of them are bruised but has sweeter taste.

 

I piously appreciate them that might have been pecked by mountain birds and are now being rotten on the ground. I wish that they would be very good fertilizer for the next year.

 

Now faint fumes are flowing around on the desk.

 

 

 

 

쎈 태풍들이 지나가면서 낙과가 많이 되었다고 합니다.

지금 제 책상 위에는 청송 골짜기에서 올라온 사과 몇 개가 놓여져 있습니다.

 

올해 사과는 다른 해와 달리 더 애틋해 보입니다.

아마도 몸서리 치는 태풍을 힘 들게 격었음에도 맛과 빛깔을 고스란히 담고 있는 그 의연함에 연민을 느꼈기 때문일까요?

멍든 것도 몇 개 있지만 오히려 그것들이 더욱 달콤합니다.

 

태풍에 떨어져 산새들에게 쪼아 먹히고 그냥 썩여져 가고 있을 사과들에게도 경건한 마음으로 감사함을 보냅니다.

내년에 열릴 사과들에게 훌륭한 밑거름이 될 것이라고 되뇌이며 말입니다.

 

지금 책상 위에는 은은한 향기 조차 흐릅니다.
